Ford refreshed the F-150 pickup for the 2024 model year, adding new standard features like the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, standard 4x4 on Lariat through Platinum trims, and the Pro Access Tailgate. We asked our truck experts to highlight the F-150 trims to help you decide which model best suits your needs.
2024 Ford F-150 XL
Ford added more technology to boost productivity in its base XL model. Now, you have a 12-inch display screen with touch, pinch, and zoom capability operating your infotainment and powered by Ford's SYNC 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition. You also get a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a Class IV trailer hitch, and the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine.
You can opt for the 5.0-liter V-8 engine or the 3.5-liter EcoBoost. Other options include the High 103A package, which adds chrome bumpers, LED fog lights, and 17-inch silver-painted aluminum alloy wheels. Selecting the Toy/Haul package adds the trailer brake controller and an electronic locking rear differential.
2024 Ford F-150 STX
Formerly an option package, the STX now slots as its own trim level. It delivers a stylish exterior highlighted by a Black and Dark Gray Coast-to-Coast grille, body-color front and rear bumpers, 20-inch Dark Gray machined aluminum wheels, and LED cornering headlights. The STX comes standard with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost or the optional 5.0-liter V-8 or 3.5-liter EcoBoost engines.
You can customize the STX with several option packages, such as the Tow/Haul Package. A Black Appearance Package adds six-inch Dark Gray Accent running boards, 20-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, and black exterior accents. Ford's innovative Mobile Office Package provides a console work surface that turns your center console into a temporary desk with 400-watt outlets.
2024 Ford F-150 XLT
Ford includes more standard technology with the F-150 XLT. A 12-inch interactive display powered by SYNC 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition runs your infotainment with assistance from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 12-inch digital information cluster keeps vehicle information front and center. Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and a 360-degree Camera are standard.
The XLT Chrome Appearance Package now comes standard. Optional packages include the Black Appearance Package Plus, which adds 20-inch painted aluminum wheels, and the MID 302A Package, which adds BlueCruise 1.2 semi-autonymous driving. In addition to the standard 2.7-liter EcoBoost, the 5.0-liter V-8, 3.5-liter EcoBoost, or 3.5-liter PowerBoost Hybrid V-6 engines are available.
2024 Ford F-150 Lariat
The F-150 Lariat boasts more standard premium features than ever, like 20-inch Chrome PVD wheels, leather-trimmed captain's chairs, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 12-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4 technology, and a free 90-day trial subscription to BlueCruise.
The 5.0-liter V-8 engine with a 4x4 drivetrain comes standard, or you can opt for the 3.5-liter EcoBoost or the 3.5-liter PowerBoost Hybrid engine. Other standard equipment includes an extended-range 36-gallon gas tank, Ford's Reverse Sensing System, Onboard 400-watt outlets, Pro Trailer Backup and Hitch Assist, and a 360-degree camera.
You can customize your Lariat with the Black Appearance and High Package, which adds the Head-Up Display and a premium B&O audio system.
2024 Ford F-150 Tremor
Off-road enthusiasts love the F-150 Tremor for its enhanced 4x4 capability and equipment. The 5.0-liter V-8, standard 4x4 drivetrain, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and off-road suspension make the road less traveled even more fun. Selectable drive modes such as Rock Crawl and Trail Control lets you tackle rugged terrain.
Available trim-exclusive interior style includes front leather-trimmed bucket seats with the Tremor logo that heat and ventilate, heated second-row seats, B&O Unleashed sound system, and ambient lighting as part of the High 402A Package.
This package includes a Head-up Display, 360-degree camera, the Mobile Office Package, the Hi-Lock transfer case, a two-speed automatic AWD system with mechanical-locking 4x4, and a front axle with Torsen differential.
2024 Ford F-150 King Ranch
The long-time favorite F-150 King Ranch trim has unique styling inside, such as Del Rio leather upholstery with the King Ranch logo embossed prominently. The front captain's chairs heat and ventilate, while the second-row seats heat, power-fold, and tip-and-slide. You can equip the King Ranch with the 3.5-liter PowerBoost Hybrid engine or stick with the standard 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6.
New standard features include the Bed Utility Package, Mobile Office Package, Head-up Display, B&O Unleashed audio, and a power-operated dual-panel moonroof. You don't have many options with the King Ranch, as it comes with almost everything. However, you can add the FX4 Package with enhanced off-road capabilities like an electronic locking rear axle, Hill Descent Control, off-road-tuned front shocks, monotube rear shocks, and Rock Crawl.
2024 Ford F-150 Platinum
The F-150 Platinum model shines inside and out, with its gloss black grille surround, gloss black exterior accents, and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. Brushed aluminum and gunmetal interior trim adds sophisticated style, while the heated and ventilated leather seats provide a refined look and feel.
Adding the High 702A Package gets you Ford's continuously controlled damping suspension, the Head-up Display, and the dual-panel moonroof. The Platinum Plus 703A Package adds the PowerBoost Hybrid engine, exclusive Platinum lettering on the hood, interior and exterior Platinum badging, and 22-inch premium painted alloy wheels with Chrome inserts.
2024 Ford F-150 Raptor
Nothing beats the F-150 Raptor's off-road capabilities. Standard heavy-duty skid plates, 34-inch all-terrain tires, Trail Control, Trail One-Pedal Drive, Trail Turn Assist, and Rox Racing Shox with Live Valve Technology deliver impressive performance over rugged terrain. The standard 3.5-liter EcoBoost High Output engine delivers 450 horsepower.
Optional equipment with the 802A Package includes exclusive 17-inch cast aluminum bead-lock capable wheels wrapped in 37-inch BSW all-terrain tires, dual Fox valve shocks, and a modular front bumper. You also get Alcantara suede and leather seats from Recaro.
The Raptor R with Code Orange trim adds orange tow hooks, signature stitching, 17-inch forged aluminum bead-lock wheels, and a 5.2-liter Supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine that manufactures an impressive 720 horsepower.
